900 ties?
I'm a fan of the show Storage Wars, but I have never seen one as funny as this one. It was a unit full of boxes, all the same size, unable to see inside. I think the winning bid was 400 dollars or so. The first box opened had neck ties, then the second, ties, third, you guessed it, ties. The winners asked "these can't be all ties, could they?" All together there were 900 ties. "We now need to find someone stupider than us to buy these ties."

Grateful
My partner and I recently went to New York City. Although she lived there for two summers, it was my first time there, so I had to do all the tourist things. Rode in a NYC cab, went on the subway, and went to a play. Afterwards we went to Times Square at midnight. We were only there one day, but it was a fantastic time. I'm so grateful for this time in my life where I have so many blessings and a wonderful and special woman to spend it with.

What is the Key to Attracting All you Want?
"Those who are a magnet for great and ongoing blessings are usually the ones who would be eternally grateful for the air they breathe even if they had nothing else. Understanding this principle is the key to attracting everything you want in life."

I Love Corvettes
From the time I was a kid, I have loved Corvettes. Attending many "vette" shows here in Paducah, I see the pride and dedication to restoring the classics of days gone by. A great quote I have for you today is from Roald Dahl, a British novelist, married to Patricia Neal, who says "And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." Roald was also a children's author.

Giving opens the door to Receiving
"Giving opens up the door to Receiving. And you have many opportunities to give every day. Give Kind words, Give a Smile, Give Appreciation, Give Love, Give Compliments."

I Love the Old Soda Fountains
There are not a lot of these old timers soda fountains, but I found this one in Kentucky near my home city. This reminds me of a quote from the great Bruce Lee, "The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering."

You don't have to take everything so seriously
"You don't have to take everything so seriously. Reality isn't black and white, answers aren't always yes or no, and absolutely nothing has to happen today. Act when you are ready. Be led by your feelings. And the next time someone wants to fit you into a mold, just tell em' that your jeans are in the wash, your angel's are at the mall, and Oprah's on the other line."

Emerson's view on Success
"To
laugh often and much: to win the respect of intelligent people and the
affection of children: to earn the appreciation of ones critics and endure the
betrayal of false friends: to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others: to
leave the world a little better: whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or
a redeemed social condition: to know even one life has breathed easier because
you have lived: THIS IS THE MEANING OF SUCCESS."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Joy in Another's Success
"Joy
in another's success not only indicates those of the big-hearted type, but it
indicates that they in turn are worthy of success themselves. And if they are
not always what we term a success in some given field, or art, or in acquiring
wealth, they are a success in the greatest of arts, the Art of Living. They are
also a success in that the joy and happiness of others enters into and becomes
a portion of their own lives."
Ralph Waldo Trine (1912)

My Note From The Universe
This week I received
this letter from the universe and wanted to share because I believe it is a
letter to you as well.
"It's working, JW!
Every day you're getting closer! Everything you've ever wanted is being pressed
toward you. Everything is clicking. Don't let the illusions trick you. Don't
let the events of today dampen your spirits. Things couldn't be any better than
they now are. You couldn't have more reasons to celebrate. Continue! Press on!
The hardest work is done! Keep showing up, be present, open every door and let
events unfold. Life is your stage. This is your parade.
Together we can do
anything."

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Being of Irish descent has made me more interested in St. Patrick's day. I recently learned that my eighth great grandfather came here from Northern Ireland.
According to Dawn Rainbolt, with Wilderness Ireland,
"An expected 13 millions pint of Guinness will be
consumed worldwide, and over $5 billion will be spent by green-toting revelers.
More than half of all Americans are expected to partake in the celebrations!"
That's a lot of Guinness, and I plan to go visit Ireland to partake in this Irish brew in the near future as part of my Good Life Project.

Power of Now
Natalie Ledwell is a great inspiration for many people all across the globe. Here are three of her awesome tips to enjoy the "now".
Enjoy.
Tip 1. Become aware - If you catch yourself complaining or over analyzing, stop and shift your perspective into the now by focusing on your surroundings or whatever it is that you're doing.
If you're at a stop light or stuck in traffic, take advantage of this time to connect with what's happening around you. First start by becoming aware of your breathing pattern and then notice the wind, the sun, people passing by, and the different smells and sounds.
Tip 2. Focus your attention - If you're talking to a friend, eating or even working, try not to engage in other activities like talking on the phone or checking your emails.
Instead dedicate your full attention to whatever you're doing in that moment and don't let your mind wander. Focus your attention into the now and be the best you can be in that single moment.
Tip 3. Forget about the past and future - If you spend your life reliving the past or worrying about the future, you will be missing out on life itself.
